This dynamic seated posture distinguishes her from many other peaceful Bodhisattvas and reflects her reputation as the swift liberator from fear and suffering.Elegant lotus stems rise naturally from either side of the deity, supporting utpala lotus flowers over her right shoulder and the unopened lotus over her left.
